The inaugural Do You Love Food Festival is being hosted at Loseley Park this weekend (June 28-29) and promises to be one of the culinary highlights of the summer with thousands expected through the gates on Saturday and Sunday.
There will be up to 150 artisan food and drink exhibitors as well as celebrity chefs including Simon Rimmer, chef and presenter of Channel 4′s Sunday Brunch, Daniel Clifford as seen on The Great British Menu and Saturday Kitchen, as well as Stefan Gates of CBBC’s Incredible Edibles.
Throughout the weekend you will have opportunities to take part in cooking master classes which will be run by Stephanie Moon, as seen on The Great British Menu. These will include pasta making, cheese making, cooking with chilli and more. All master classes are free of charge but spaces are limited so it is advisable to book in advance.
In addition, there will be a Wine & Drinks Theatre that includes: Tea- The Lost Art, Wine tasting, Coffee- The art of brewing, Artisan Ales & Lagers, Cocktails and mixology. As well as that, there is the Broil King BBQ Theatre where you can learn about gourmet BBQ Cooking, rubs and marinades, Sunday roast alfresco, a sausage & burger making master classes and culminating in a BBQ Cook Off Competition where six teams of two will compete to win a Broil King BBQ.
Other attractions include baking sensational scones at the Children’s Cookery School, Kids Food Laboratory, Giant Garden Games area and Circus Workshops. Peppa Pig and George will be making guest appearances at intervals throughout the day on Sunday as well to keep the kids entertained. On top of this there will be an afternoon tea tent with specialist Tea, Coffee and Chocolate Area, a live music stage featuring acoustic artists, a Street Food Experience and Pop Up Restaurants.
During the festival there will also be foraging tours which will be run by Adele Nozedar, author of the best-selling foraging book, ‘The Hedgerow Handbook- Remedies, Recipes and Rituals’. Join her to find out about the amazing array of wild plants that not only taste great, but are free! Please note though that admission to these tours is not included in the cost of the festival tickets.
Over the course of the weekend, there are approximately 15,000 people expected to be heading to Loseley Park with doors opening at 10am both days and last admissions at 4pm. The festival closes for the day at 6pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday.
